wip: stubbed out theme derivation from palette
feat: theme derivation from palette
Same Issue here
Same happens Here. Usually when alt-tabbing, it randomly freezes while everything is working, discord games looks to be running, but the UI is simply unresponsive. This have been happening for a while to me, even after updating.

I've tried that a few times, as well as building on other machines, and keep encountering the same error. I will investigate further tomorrow.
@n3m0-22 hm, I can't reproduce here. Can you try cleaning your build environment in Builder?
After more consideration and thought, the conclusion is that the behavior of the floating window next to the tiled layout should actually be different from the current Pop!_OS. Most of the use cases reviewed where one would have a floating window next to the tiled layout seem to indicate it might be more valuable to never hide the window. In addition, tiled layout should be treated as existing in its own dimension so mixing the behavior of the two seems less consistent. That said, we should never hide the floating window, even when the floating window is visually located right above the tiled window that is active.
Captures all outputs using
dispatch_pending in a busy loop here isn't ideal, but
poll_dispatch_pending doesn't seem to work?
If GDK tries tries to destroy a surface, an
EGL_BAD_DISPLAY error is produced, which causes a segfault. With
https://github.com/Smithay/smithay/pull/771 it logs instead of segfaulting. This seems to happen as long as
GpuManager::new() is called, even if it isn't used.
Copying the dmabuf into a
Vec is not ideal, but GDK doesn't seem to provide a way to get the
EGLContext behind a
This should be updated to have an optional crate feature that provides abstractions based on
smithay-client-toolkit to simplify the code needed here. We can also use that for an Iced example then.
I'm also running into this issue while trying to install. Are there plans on fixing this or methods of getting around it?
Adds an iced feature cosmic_theme to select our theme. Draft due to many things not matching COSMIC design system.
Regression testing checklist also passed:
RRefreshes Apt Cache and Flatpak Metadata

This commit should fix the error dialogs when uninstalling packages
Actually, maybe I'll add a quick patch for the other error dialogs. It's possible that it's the same kind of memory safety violation.
Can investigate the vim issue separtely

Related Application and/or Package Version: Audio at the kernel level, alsamixer
Issue/Bug Description: When using external USB audio interfaces (in my case the Behringer UMC204HD) audio level is lowered to 30% at the kernel level after every reboot. All levels in the GUI are at 100% and it does not help.
Only way to raise the volume is to use alsamixer in the terminal and fixes the issue.
I have helped several people reporting the same issue with other models/brands of interface.
Steps to reproduce (if you know): Own a USB audio Interface, reboot and be stuck with low output volume (other audio syncs are not showing that behaviour)
Expected behavior: Kernel audio levels should always be at 100% and adjusted through the audio server (pipewire in the case of Pop!OS)
Other Notes: I love Pop!OS, you people are awesome. You made my computing world better!
A number of these are difficult to recreate on demand. I have confirmed this fixes https://github.com/pop-os/shop/issues/393 -- When
apt.pop-os.org is set to resolve to the loopback address in
/etc/hosts, I now get
Failed to update "AppName" instead of a crash.
This does not fix https://github.com/pop-os/shop/issues/353 -- I still get a crash when attempting to uninstall the preinstalled Vim. Is this supposed to fix that, or should it be removed from the list?
